In this study, a new reduction method, namely the “Finite Circular Fin Methods
(FCFM)” based on “Actual Dry-Bulb Temperature Method” and based on “Equivalent
Dry-Bulb Temperature Method” are proposed for detailed evaluation of the
performances of fin-and-tube heat exchangers instead of conventional lump approach.
Analysis of the fin-and-tube heat exchangers is firstly carried out by dividing the heat
exchangers into many tiny segments (number of tube row × number of tube pass per
row × number of fin)
